The Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Councillor Dada Morero, will meet with Ebony Park residents on Friday, 19 September 2025, to address the ongoing water crisis that has left many households without a reliable supply for weeks.

The Mayor will be joined by the MMC for Environment and Infrastructure Services, Councillor Jack Sekwaila, and Johannesburg Water Managing Director, Ntshavheni Mukwevho, in what is expected to be a crucial community engagement session.

Venue: Kaalfontein High School, Ebony Park
Date: Friday, 19 September 2025
Time: 15:00

During the engagement, Mayor Morero will provide an update on the challenges facing the President Park Reservoir, which supplies the Greater Ivory Park areas, and explain the strategic interventions the City is putting in place to stabilise supply and secure long-term water solutions.

The City says this session is part of its ongoing commitment to listening to communities and working with residents to find sustainable solutions to Johannesburg’s water challenges.

KAE News will be monitoring the engagement closely and provide updates from the meeting.
