IVORY PARK’S VUYOLETHU SIBIYA WINS TOP HONOUR AT 2025 YOUNG LEADERS AWARDS
South African youth activist and founder of Kuzondlula Motivational Tour, Vuyolethu Sibiya, has been awarded 1st place in the 2025 Young Leaders Awards under the Civic Society category.
The prestigious awards were hosted by international organization Free SA, with the winners announced during a virtual event held on Youth Day, 16 June 2025.
Sibiya, a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment in Ivory Park and beyond, expressed his gratitude to the South African public for nominating and voting for him.
Q“I honestly did not expect this award. I am humbled and thankful to everyone who believed in me and the work we do through Kuzondlula Motivational Tour,” he said.
As part of his prize, Sibiya received R7,500, which he has pledged to donate to his organization to continue supporting young people through education, mentorship, and community development programs.
In his message to the youth, Sibiya encouraged them to make the most of every opportunity. “Work hard, stay away from drugs, alcohol, and crime. Education remains the most powerful weapon we can use to fight poverty,” he said.
He also extended heartfelt thanks to Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi for his unwavering support from his student days to the present. Sibiya further acknowledged Pastor Solly Mahlangu and Busy Corner MD, Rita Zwane, for their continued belief in his mission and vision.
