12 SUSPECTS ARRESTED AS POLICE SEIZE DRUGS ACROSS EKURHULENI
The Benoni Flying Squad arrested 12 suspects and recovered several types of drugs during separate operations conducted across Ekurhuleni between 20 and 26 July 2026.
The suspects, aged between 22 and 46, were arrested for alleged drug-related offences in Etwatwa, Kempton Park, Ivory Park and Kaalfontein.
The operations were conducted in several areas, including Barcelona Extension 34, Emaphupheni Extension 14, Fourth Street and Mandela Section in Etwatwa; Long and Casuarina streets in Kempton Park; Matiela Street in Ivory Park; and Kaalfontein Extension 7.
Police recovered:
- Two bags of CAT, believed to be cocaine
- Ten bags of crystal methamphetamine
- Seventeen Mandrax tablets
- Four packets of dagga
- Thirty-five nyaope ties
The suspects are expected to appear in their respective magistrates’ courts on charges of possession of drugs and dealing in drugs.
Police investigations into the separate cases are continuing.
