TREVOR NOAH FOUNDATION DELIVERS BRAND NEW SCHOOL HALL TO EQINISWENI SECONDARY
From a dusty field to a beautiful, fully functional school hall, Eqinisweni Secondary School in Ivory Park has officially received its long-awaited hall, thanks to the Trevor Noah Foundation and its partners.
The hall was officially handed over on Wednesday, 11 June 2025, just in time for Youth Month. It marks the successful completion of a promise made during a groundbreaking ceremony on 15 February 2024. What started as an ambitious project has become a beacon of hope and transformation for both learners and educators.
In partnership with YouthBuild South Africa through the Faranani Infrastructure Project, the Trevor Noah Foundation has not only built a hall — they’ve created a space where learners can gather, teachers can finally host full staff meetings under one roof, and the entire community can celebrate milestones together.
The Faranani Infrastructure Project, whose name means working together in Tshivenda, is about more than just infrastructure. It’s also creating jobs, upskilling unemployed youth, and fostering a culture of service and excellence in education.
The new school hall stands proudly as a symbol of possibility, resilience, and what can happen when communities and change-makers come together.
From an empty space to a place of growth, inspiration, and unity — Eqinisweni has officially levelled up.
