IVORY PARK TAXI ASSOCIATION (IPTA) TO HOLD ELECTIVE AGM
The Ivory Park Taxi Association (IPTA) will be holding its Elective Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, 21 May 2025, at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, starting at 09:00.
This year’s AGM carries special significance as it comes in the wake of the sudden and untimely passing of IPTA Chairperson, Mr. Buti Johannes Mkonza, on 3 November 2024 at the age of 55.
Mr. Mkonza passed away at Mediclinic Midstream Hospital following a short illness. His leadership, dedication, and contribution to IPTA and the broader taxi industry left an indelible mark. The new incoming Chairperson will undoubtedly have big shoes to fill as they lead the association into a new era.
The AGM will serve as an important platform for members to:
Reflect on the progress and milestones achieved by IPTA
Address pressing challenges affecting the taxi industry
Elect a new leadership team
Outline strategic goals for the upcoming term
KAE News will be on-site to cover the event, ensuring that the communities of Ivory Park, Kaalfontein, Allandale, and Ebony Park (KAE), along with the broader Midrand region, stays informed about developments that impact one of the most vital sectors of local transport.
Stay tuned to www.kaenews.com and KAE News social platforms for updates from the conference floor.
