ONE DEAD, TWO INJURED IN CLAYVILLE MOB JUSTICE ATTACK

Ivory Park SAPS are investigating a murder and two counts of attempted murder following a violent incident in Clayville on Friday morning , 20 February 2026.

According to police, officers responded to a complaint and, upon arrival at the address, discovered the body of a 45-year-old Mozambican national lying on the ground. Two other men, aged between 40 and 51, were also found at the scene with injuries.

A community member alleged that the victims stole a car and were busy trying to locate and remove the tracker. That is when the community cornered them. Three (3) managed to escape.

The injured men were rushed to Tembisa Hospital for medical treatment.

At this stage, no arrests have been made, and police say investigations are ongoing.

Authorities are appealing to members of the community who may have information that could assist investigators to come forward.

Umphakathi is urged not to take the law into own hands.
