The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has officially released the grant payment schedule for May 2025.

Beneficiaries are reminded that there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day, as the funds will remain in the account until needed.

Here are the confirmed payment dates:

Older Person’s Grants – Payment from Tuesday, 06 May 2025

Disability Grants – Payment from Wednesday, 07 May 2025
(Includes any grants linked to these accounts)

Children’s Grants – Payment from Thursday, 08 May 2025

SASSA also encourages beneficiaries to use available digital and card payment options to avoid long queues and unnecessary travel.
