IPTA CONSTRUCTING FILLING STATION NEXT TO IVORY PARK 2 TAXI RANK
The Ivory Park Taxi Association (IPTA) is taking a major step towards expanding its operations beyond passenger transport with the construction of a filling station next to the Ivory Park 2 Emthonjeni Taxi Rank.
The filling station is currently under construction and is expected to provide a convenient refuelling point for taxis operating from the rank.
KAE News understands that taxis will be required to refuel at the filling station once it becomes operational.
The development represents a significant move by the association to invest in infrastructure directly connected to its taxi operations.
For taxi operators, having a filling station next to the rank could make refuelling more convenient and reduce the time spent travelling to other filling stations.
The development comes at a time when taxi associations are facing increasing operating costs, particularly fuel, vehicle maintenance and other expenses.
IPTA has recently announced several taxi fare increases across its routes, citing rising fuel and operational costs.
What do you think about IPTA investing in its own filling station?
