JDA AND PIKITUP EMBARK ON INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT TO ENHANCE WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN RABIE RIDGE

The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA), on behalf of Pikitup Johannesburg, the City of Johannesburg’s official waste management service provider, is spearheading a series of infrastructure projects aimed at improving waste management facilities across the city including in Rabie Ridge.

The Rabie Ridge construction site to be named Midrand Depot is located opposite Allandridge Secondary School a walking distance from the Rabie Ridge Swimming Pool.

The JDA is currently undertaking the construction of a boundary wall, stormwater management system, civil services (water and sewer network), earthworks, and a guardhouse at the depot.

Contractor is to commence with works soonest.

Pikitup operates 12 strategically located waste management depots. The Midrand depot will support Pikitup mandate of delivering integrated waste management services ensuring a cleaner and sustainable environment.
