The City of Johannesburg’s Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) is looking for young, disciplined, and committed South Africans to join their 18-month training programme.

After successfully completing the programme, trainees will be considered for permanent Metropolitan Police Officer positions.

Minimum Requirements:

● South African citizen
● Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 Certificate
● Valid SA Driver’s License – Code B (No learners)
● Age: 18 – 35 years
● Johannesburg resident with proof of address
● No criminal record or civil judgments
● Fit and healthy (submit medical certificate)
● Willing to carry a firearm & wear a uniform
● Proficient in English
● Pass fitness test & vetting process

JMPD Training Academy
Stipend provided during the 18-month programme

Candidates must be willing to work under pressure, in all weather, and shifts.
