SADAG Brings Mental Health Awareness to Local Clinics

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) Ivory Park team has taken a powerful step in raising awareness about mental health by leading a series of educational talks focused on Bipolar Disorder. These sessions were recently held at Rabie Ridge, Kaalfontein, and Thuthukani clinics, engaging community members in meaningful conversations about mental wellness.

The initiative aimed to:

Educate the public on the signs, symptoms, and treatment options for bipolar disorder

Break the stigma surrounding mental illness

Encourage individuals to seek help and support one another

The talks sparked insightful discussions and gave many residents the confidence to speak more openly about their experiences and concerns related to mental health.

SADAG continues to play a vital role in mental health advocacy, and their 24/7 toll-free helpline (0800 21 22 23) remains available for anyone in need of emotional support or advice.

Let’s continue to learn, understand, and support mental health in our communities.
