The South African Police Service has launched its biggest and first-ever online recruitment drive for 5 500 Police Trainees for the 2025/2026 intake.

Who can apply?

– South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years
– Matric/Grade 12 (minimum requirement)
– No criminal record or pending cases
– Must be physically and mentally fit
-Good character and willing to serve the country

Stipend and Salary:

Phase Details
– Training Phase (9 months in SAPS Academy) R4 500 per month stipend
– Probation Phase (After training) Starting salary: R238 629 per year, plus benefits

What do SAPS Trainees do?

After training, Police Officers will:
✔️ Prevent, combat and investigate crime
✔️ Maintain public order
✔️ Protect people and property
✔️ Uphold and enforce the law

Special Opportunities for Graduates:

If you have a National Diploma or Degree in:

Law

Policing

Criminology

Forensic Investigation

IT

You may qualify for placement in specialized units like Detectives, Crime Intelligence, DPCI (Hawks) and Forensics.
