SEVENTH WOMAN’S BODY FOUND IN CLAYVILLE AS POLICE INVESTIGATE POSSIBLE LINKS

The discovery of another woman’s body in Kwa-Thema, Springs, on Tuesday morning has brought the number of women’s bodies recently discovered in the wider Ekurhuleni area to seven.

The latest case comes as police investigate a series of deaths involving women in and around Kempton Park and neighbouring areas. SAPS has not confirmed that all the cases are connected, but police are investigating possible links.

ANOTHER UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN FOUND IN CLAYVILLE

A body was discovered on 7 September 2026 in Kaalspruit, Clayville, near Mall of Thembisa.

The woman was in her late 20s and was reportedly found naked, with her underwear still on. There were reportedly no visible injuries, and she has not yet been identified.

Police are including this case in their investigation into whether there is a possible connection between the various cases.

LATEST BODY FOUND IN KWA-THEMA

The seventh body was discovered on Tuesday morning on the side of a road in Kwa-Thema, Springs.

Kwa-Thema is approximately 45 kilometres from Kempton Park.

The identity of the woman and the circumstances surrounding her death have not yet been confirmed.

POLICE TO PROVIDE FURTHER UPDATE

The developments come as police intensify their investigation into the deaths.

The Acting Minister of Police, Professor Firoz Cachalia and Acting National Commissioner Lt General Puleng Dimpane are expected to meet with the investigation team at 18:00 on Tuesday to receive an update and provide further information.

The Acting Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Major General Fred Kekana has also said that police are working around the clock to establish what happened to the women and whether the cases are connected.

SAPS has previously confirmed that a specialised multidisciplinary task team is investigating the Kempton Park cases.
