The community of Themba Khoza is striking once again. Republic Road from Kaalfontein Corner towards Half Clutch has been barricaded with bricks.
Officers from Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) are on the scene and are monitoring the situation.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
The community is fighting for electrification of the area. The Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Dada Morero, had previously promised to come and address the community.
