City of Johannesburg Hiring Cleaners (Region A)

The City of Johannesburg is inviting applications for short-term contract positions under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).

Position: JPC Facilities Cleaner

Duration: Up to 8 months

Department: Economic Development

Branch: Sustainable Employment Facilitation

Stipend: R150 per day (all-inclusive)

Location: Region A (includes areas such as Ivory Park, Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, Rabie Ridge and Diepsloot.

Minimum Requirements:

– Grade 7 qualification

– At least 1 year of cleaning experience

– Must be capable of performing physical cleaning duties

Primary Function:

To provide efficient and effective cleaning services in municipal buildings and facilities, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and disinfect taxi ranks, Rea Vaya stations, and trading areas

Clean sinks, toilets, floors, and stairways Maintain public convenience facilities and open spaces

Clean and maintain equipment
