“Good morning

I am writing to you with a very heavy heart regarding an incident that happened to me today 😭

Since Monday (the 5th), I have been using taxis from Score Taxi Rank to Vorna Valley without any issues. Passengers were mixed (Mall of Africa, Vorna Valley, Checkers, etc), the drivers ensured that everyone was dropped off safely at their respective destinations.

However, today I arrived at work 50 minutes late due to the actions of one driver. The driver, whose vehicle registration is ** ** ** GP, stopped in the middle of the road and forced me to get off without returning my money or ensuring that I could reach my destination. I was dropped off in an unfamiliar area, and when I tried to reason with him, explaining that other drivers had been taking the same route, he insisted that if I did not get off, he would take me back to the taxi rank.

I got off the taxi and started walking, hoping to find another taxi along the way. While walking, I attempted to stop another taxi, but it turned out to be the same driver, who ignored me and drove past. I ended up walking for about 40 minutes. Kere Kea request, Bolt was around R40, which I could not afford at the time. Only when I was closer to my destination did I manage to request Bolt yare R20 because I was tired of walking.

This experience was extremely distressing. I honestly feel hurt and disappointed, as some taxi drivers need to treat passengers with basic respect and humanity. What upsets me the most is that I clearly stated at the taxi rank that I was going to Vorna Valley. If the driver was not willing to go there, he could have simply said so, and I would have waited for another taxi.”
