The body of a 35-year-old woman has been discovered in Kwa-Thema, Springs, bringing the number of women’s bodies found across Ekurhuleni to six in recent weeks.

The decomposed body of another woman (35) has been discovered in Kwa-Thema, Springs, on Tuesday morning, bringing the number of women’s bodies discovered in different parts of Ekurhuleni to six in recent weeks.

The woman’s body was reportedly found on the side of the road in the Kwa-Thema area. The body was found naked.

Kwa-Thema is a township in Springs, approximately 45 kilometres from Kempton Park, where several women’s bodies have previously been discovered.

The latest discovery comes as police continue investigating a number of cases involving women found dead in the Kempton Park area.

SAPS has not confirmed that the incidents are linked, and there is currently no official confirmation that the same person or group is responsible for the deaths.

The circumstances surrounding the Kwa-Thema woman’s death, including her identity and how she died, have not yet been confirmed.

Police are expected to investigate the latest incident and determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

Yesterday, the body of a naked women was found in Olifantsfontein and on the 12th of September 2026 the body of a jogger, Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgoma, was found in the Kempton Park areas.
