MAMA ACTION TAKES LGE CAMPAIGN TO IVORY PARK
ANC 1st Deputy Secretary-General Nomvula Mokonyane took the party’s 2026 Local Government Elections campaign to Ivory Park on Friday, 21 August 2026, as the ANC ramps up its campaign ahead of the elections.
Mokonyane conducted door-to-door engagements with ANC supporters in Ward 133, meeting residents as part of the party’s campaign trail.
The campaign programme started at JB Matabane Secondary School, where ANC activists and supporters gathered ahead of the community engagements.
The Ivory Park visit forms part of the ANC’s build-up towards the launch of its 2026 Local Government Elections manifesto, as political parties intensify their campaigns across Gauteng.
The ANC is scheduled to launch its LGE 2026 manifesto on Sunday in Diepsloot, Riverside.
The party’s Johannesburg mayoral candidate is also expected to be announced in Sandton on Saturday as the ANC continues its push to mobilise voters ahead of the 4 November elections.
The manifesto launch is expected to set out the ANC’s priorities and commitments for local government, including its plans for municipalities and the communities they serve.
For residents of Ivory Park and surrounding communities, the election campaign will provide an opportunity to assess what political parties and candidates are offering ahead of the polls.
The 2026 Local Government Elections will take place on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.
KAE News will continue bringing residents rolling coverage of political campaigns, candidates, manifestos and election developments across Midrand (City of Johannesburg) and Tembisa (City of Ekurhuleni)
