HUSTLING MA’OLADY ARRESTED WITH DAGGA

A 45-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday, 8 May 2025, after she was found in possession of dagga with an estimated street value of over R1,100.

The arrest came after the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) received a tip-off about a woman suspected of selling cannabis in the area. Officers swiftly followed up and apprehended the suspect at a residence in Tembisa.

Upon searching the property, officers discovered:

* 55 medium Ziplock packets filled with dagga,

* 1 black plastic bag containing loose cannabis,

* R25 in cash, believed to be proceeds from the illegal trade.

The woman was charged with dealing in an illicit substance and is expected to appear in Tembisa Magistrates Court soon.

Authorities have urged the public to continue working with law enforcement by reporting drug-related activity in their communities.
