KOPANONG SPORTS COMPLEX GETS A MASSIVE UPGRADE
The Kopanong Sports Complex in Ivory Park is undergoing a major transformation that will bring modern sports and recreation facilities closer to the community.
This upgrade is part of the Ivory Park Urban Development Framework, led by the City of Johannesburg and the Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA). The project aims to turn the much-loved complex into a multi-sport, multi-purpose community hub.
What’s coming to Kopanong Sports Complex:
• A brand-new rugby and soccer field
• Refurbished tennis, basketball, and netball courts
• New grandstands and guardhouse
• An outdoor gym and cricket batting nets
• Upgraded sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping
• And in the pipeline… future pavilions and a clubhouse

• R20 million investment
• 23 jobs created so far
