“WATER SHEDDING” ON SUNDAY IN KAE
Johannesburg Water says that water throttling will take place at the President Park Reservoir on Sunday, 18 May 2025 from 06:00 until 18:00.
The affected areas include:
Ivory Park
Kaalfontein
Ebony Park
President Park
Allandale
Water throttling is a controlled reduction in water pressure to conserve supply and prevent full outages due to high demand.
It appears that water throttling occurs every second day in KAE.
Residents are advised to:
- Store enough water in advance for household needs,
- Use water sparingly, and
- Keep taps closed to avoid water loss once supply is restored.
