CITY OF JOBURG BRINGS HIGH-IMPACT SERVICE DELIVERY TO KAE
The City of Johannesburg has stepped up service delivery in the Greater Ivory Park area, with various departments working hand-in-hand to address pressing infrastructure and maintenance issues on Tuesday, 14 Octaber 2025.
As part of the High-Impact Service Delivery Operation, teams from Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA), Joburg Water, City Power, JMPD, and other City entities have been deployed across Ivory Park, Ebony Park, and Kaalfontein to deliver essential municipal services directly to the community.
Road Safety and Maintenance
JRA teams have been hard at work improving road safety by repainting faded road markings at key intersections and patching damaged road sections. These improvements are especially visible along major routes and busy junctions in Ivory Park and Kaalfontein — including Busy Corner, Main Road, and 29 September Road, where the City’s operation is currently stationed.
Residents have already begun noticing a difference, with clearer road markings improving traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
Water Challenges and Interventions
Meanwhile, Johannesburg Water has issued an update regarding ongoing water supply issues affecting Greater Ivory Park. The President Park Reservoir, which supplies much of the area, is currently under severe strain due to high demand and infrastructure constraints.
To stabilize the system, the reservoir outlet is being closed daily from 14:00 to 03:00 until further notice. Johannesburg Water has assured residents that it is monitoring the situation closely and will continue to provide water through stationary water tanks in areas experiencing complete outages.
Residents in lower-lying areas are urged to use water sparingly to assist those in higher-lying parts of the community who are more affected.
The Kaalfontein Multi Purpose Centre was also monitored .
