15 LAPTOPS DONATED TO KAALFONTEIN SECONDARY SCHOOL TO BOOST DIGITAL LEARNING
Learners at Kaalfontein Secondary School received a major boost to their education following the handover of 15 laptops by Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Nonceba Mhlauli, alongside HONOR CEO Zhou Lefeng.
Each laptop is valued at approximately R15,000 and comes with free connectivity, marking a significant investment in improving access to digital learning resources at the school.
BRIDGING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE
Speaking during the handover, Deputy Minister Mhlauli emphasised the importance of technology in education.
“This initiative is about bridging the digital divide that continues to disadvantage many of our young people,” she said.
The laptops will not be issued to individual learners, but will instead form part of a computer lab, ensuring that all learners at the school benefit equally from the resources.
HONOR confirmed that it will continue its partnership with Kaalfontein Secondary School, supporting efforts to improve access to technology and modern learning tools.
The handover also fulfilled one of the key commitments made by Deputy Minister Mhlauli during her previous visits to the school. The school has been adopted by her office as part of ongoing initiatives aimed at supporting and uplifting education in local communities.
A STEP FORWARD FOR KAE EDUCATION
This initiative is expected to enhance digital skills, improve learning outcomes, and better prepare learners for future opportunities in a technology-driven world.
KAE News welcomes this development as a positive step towards equal access to quality education in the community.
