MOTORIST GUNNED DOWN NEAR YARONA SHOPPING CENTRE IN KAALFONTEIN
A male motorist has been shot and killed near Yarona Shopping Centre in Kaalfontein, in a suspected targeted shooting on Tuesday, 18 August 2026 at 19:10.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim was allegedly followed by unknown gunmen before he stopped. The attackers then opened fire on him while he was inside his Mercedes-Benz.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and declared the man dead.
The motive for the shooting is not yet known, and no arrests have been reported at this stage.
Members of Ivory Park SAPS are expected to investigate the incident as a murder.
The area has been cordoned off while authorities process the scene and gather evidence.
